QUESTION: Are the courses approved by the American Culinary Federation?
ANSWER: Yes. All courses are approved by The American Culinary Federation for continuing education hours (CEH) toward initial certification and certification renewal.
QUESTION: Is Chefcertification.com accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB)?
ANSWER: Yes. Chefcertification.com, BBB accredited since 2008, meets all BBB Accreditation Standards and supports the principles of BBB which include ethical business practices, honesty, integrity and trust.
QUESTION: Is there an instructor assigned to each course?
ANSWER: Yes. Your instructor is responsible for evaluating your progress within each course, reviewing/approving all written student submissions and issuing course certificates of completion.

QUESTION: If I registered today, when would I start the courses?
ANSWER: You can start right away, as access to courses is issued immediately upon successful payment of course fees.
QUESTION: Can I take more than 1 (One) course at a time?
ANSWER: Yes. Our learning environment is designed to serve multiple courses at the same time. Students are able to work within any of their courses concurrently.
QUESTION: Would I need to purchase books or additional materials?
ANSWER: No additional materials are needed. Everything is provided online and available within each course dashboard.
QUESTION: How long does it take to complete a course?
ANSWER: It depends on the amount of continuing education hours (CEHs) each course has been designed to fulfill. As a general guideline, you should plan on spending the same amount of time listed in a course outline's "ACF Approved CEH" section.
QUESTION: Is there a deadline for completing my courses?
ANSWER: There is a One (1) year expiration for each course from the date of enrollment. Chances are, you will certainly have completed your coursework by then. The purpose of this expiration date is to make sure that you are enrolled in the most current courses available.
QUESTION: If I fail the final exam of a course, do I have to pay to retake the final exam?
ANSWER: If you fail the final exam for a course, you will be given one (1) opportunity to retake the final exam without a fee. Additional retakes may be subject to a $25 fee.
QUESTION: Will I receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of my course?
ANSWER: Yes. Students are issued certificates of completion upon successful completion of coursework. These certificates of completion are uploaded to your account, and are available in PDF for download.
QUESTION: Once I complete a course, how long does it take to receive my certificate of completion?
ANSWER: Certificates are created and uploaded each business day.
