The Fundamentals of Professional Cooking Workforce Training Certificate is being offered to individuals who are looking to gain a better understanding of the essentials of professional cooking. Please refer to the course outlines within our course catalog for a detailed listing of the topic areas covered within each course as well as a listing of instructional videos included within each course.
Students who choose to pursue the Fundamentals of Professional Cooking Workforce Training Certificate are required to complete all 12 courses listed under "Required Courses" below. After completion of each course, each student will receive a confirmation (certificate) of completion for that individual course. Once ALL courses are completed, your course completions will be reviewed, and your Fundamentals of Professional Cooking Certificate will be uploaded to your account.

Once you have completed the courses required for the Fundamentals of Professional Cooking Workforce Training Certificate, there are a few additional credentials that are available for you to pursue:
Culinary Essentials Certificate (ACFEF) - Upon completion of ALL courses included in the Fundamentals of Professional Cooking Workforce Training Certificate, you have the option to pursue the Culinary Essentials Certificate credential offered through the American Culinary Federation. The exam required to receive the Culinary Essentials Certificate is administered by the ACF, and there is an additional fee for this exam payable directly to the American Culinary Federation.

Food Safety/Protection Manager Certification - Completion of the required Food Safety and Sanitation course that is part of the Workforce Training Certificate course requirements also provides you with the opportunity to pursue the Food Safety/Protection Manager Certification.
